5 Keto Hacks by the Keto Twins👩🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳

Shared by DeniseM

My favorite keto test kitchen inhabitants, the Keto Twins, have posted this video on YouTube about some of their favorite keto hacks, so I thought I would do a blog post on them because I’ve tried them all! Of course, I have! They always have the most adventurous spirits in the recipes that they test and I love watching them because they are so honest and willing to share all their successes which are way more than any failures! So here are five of their keto hacks and their reviews of what they did to make all these amazing things keto. 😊

5 keto recipes that changed our lives

Here is their great video so you can follow along. 😊

The first hack!🍉

keto watermelon hack

Watermelon has to be up there at the top of the most craved fruit while on keto! Well, the Keto Twins have a watermelon hack that I swear will give you a similar taste! 🍉

Take a guess what will transform itself, and no it’s not cauliflower, with the addition of a little sweetener. Did you guess cucumber? 🥒

I tried this hack a few different ways to get the best, most juicy watermelon experience!😊 I tried it sliced with and without the peel. You could say the peel is like the watermelon rind, but you don’t eat the rind, so I liked it best without the peel. 👍🏼

The only other thing you need to do is sprinkle a little sweetener on the slice of cucumber. I tried four different sweeteners. Monkfruit, Erythritol, Stevia, and Allulose. I was rooting for the Stevia, but it just did not taste like watermelon. Neither did the Monkfruit or Erythritol. But the clear winner was the Allulose! ❤️

So for a nice snack, that gets a veggie in, try cucumber slices that have been peeled and sprinkled with granular Allulose and see what you think! 🍉😊

Keto Hack No. 2 🥨

fat head dough

Fat Head Dough is the Holy Grail of all keto doughs! Whoever invented it is a legend in keto history! I just don’t know who that is! Fat Head dough transforms four basic ingredients into all kinds of wondrous keto baked goods. Rolls, pizza, breads, pretzels, pies, pastries. I even have made almond paste-filled croissants out of Fat Head dough! So many incredible recipes using Fat Head Dough! 🥖🍞

My favorite roll recipe. They are beyond good! Fat Head dough can change your life! 🥐

Fathead dough is usually regarded as one of the best pizza crusts! 🍕

Three’s the charm keto hack! 🥟

I have experimented several times, over the years, with this ravioli hack. This is by far the best way to make ravioli or dumplings if you miss things like that. I do! 😳 It is surprisingly simple to mimic the ravioli dough by simply taking the Provolone cheese rounds by Sargento, I have also used the Great Value brand, place the rounds on a parchment-covered baking sheet and bake them for just a few minutes, the key is to not let them brown and melt until just a few bubbles start forming, then fill them and they remarkably taste like pasta dough! It’s extremely miraculous and SO good and so much more healthy! I recently made the Keto Twins Pierogi. I was obsessed with Pierogi for days! 🥟

This is one of the ways I made ravioli and added it to soup. 🍵

Keto Hack No. 4

Chaffles! The little waffle that could! These mini cheese + egg=chaffles have changed the face of keto in the last few years, more than anything else I think. They have allowed keto dieters to have sandwiches again, to have hamburgers again, to have pizza again and SO many other things, but all done healthily!

Have you heard of chaffles? These delightful creations are a combination of cheese and waffles that have taken the food scene by storm! 🧀🧇 Whether you're following a low-carb or keto lifestyle, or simply looking for a tasty twist on breakfast, chaffles are a must-try.

Made primarily with shredded cheese and beaten eggs, chaffles offer a versatile base that can be customized to your taste. Mix in herbs, spices, or even a touch of almond or coconut flour for added flavor and texture. The result? A crispy, golden-brown treat that's as satisfying as it is easy to make.

Top your chaffles with anything you'd put on a regular waffle – think berries, whipped cream, butter, syrup, or even savory toppings like avocado and bacon. The sweet-savory balance of chaffles makes them suitable for any time of day!

With countless variations and endless topping possibilities, chaffles have quickly become a breakfast favorite for many. If you haven't given them a try yet, it's time to fire up your waffle maker and get creative in the kitchen. Prepare to be amazed by the cheesy goodness that is the chaffle experience and the Keto Twins are famous for their delicious, crispy chaffle recipe! It is amazingly good! 🧀🧇🤤

Here is the Keto Twins' recipe for a Chicken Florentine Chaffle that was delicious. They add Xanthan Gum to their chaffles to give them a more bread-like texture on the inside while being nice and crispy on the outside! 🧇

Here is their Shrimp Po Boy Chaffle! Loved this! 🍤

Chaffle Breakfast Sandwiches are a very popular way to make chaffles. 🍳🧇

The Keto Twins have made, are you sitting down? Cottage Cheese Chips! I did attempt these quite a few years ago. I used the skillet method and actually couldn’t believe I was taking the time to make “potato“ chips one by one in a pan! 😳 So after about 45 minutes and ten chips I said to heck with this, but they did taste like actual potato chips! The Keto Twins also have a microwave version that I think is much easier. So add a little more cottage cheese to your life! 😊

I hope you enjoyed these Keto Hacks by the Keto Twins and they make your keto journey just a little better! I know they have made my journey much better!

Wishing you good health and happiness,
