My favorite carby donut is an Apple fritter, so when I saw this Keto version I had to make it. The surprise ingredient is using jicama instead of apples to cut the carbs. I did substitute the Swerve with allulose and I had a problem with allulose not tasting sweet enough. So next time I will probably use the Swerve. The recipe also called for some apple extract which I’m not sure how much that played a part in the taste or not. I think it could be left out. My mom loved this and ate it with strawberries and blueberries on top with sugar of course! The glaze was a little watery, so I tried the chaffle with butter and sugar-free maple syrup and I liked that much better. if you're missing apples or apple fritters this would be a good thing to try! 🍎
