Avocado Bread Chaffle

Shared by DeniseM

I came across a recipe for Avocado Chips and the chef happened to mention she makes larger ones that she uses as bread for sandwiches! So I thought instead of baking it in the oven I would try it as a chaffle! This came out really good and is sturdy enough for sandwiches or hamburgers. You can make this your own by adding whatever you like to the smashed avocado. The recipe calls for shredded Parmesan and I didn’t have that so I just used some grated Parmesan and Mexican Blend cheese. I also added chopped jalapeño and cilantro, plus salt and pepper, garlic powder, and red chili flakes. The original recipe will be below. If you want to make this in the oven and make the chips it was 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Be sure to bake them long enough in your waffle maker. I went past the light going off on the mini Dash for about 30 seconds. About 3-4 minutes.

You could do any flavors that you like. Italian, Asian, and Indian would all be really good!
