Keep you Sodium Levels up with this Bouillon Replacement

Share by Gene

Some days you are just "tired" of bouillon. Here is an alternative that will still give you the required sodium.

a display of himalayan salt package, sweet drops, coffee mug, extract, and measuring spoon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup water

Sweetleaf drops (or alternate sweetener)

Lemon Extract (or other flavorings)

I put 1/2 teaspoon of salt in my cup added the water, then put a squirt of SweetLeaf stevia. (honestly, it isn't "drops" it is squirts of SweetLeaf stevia). Finally, I added a splash (didn't measure) of Lemon extract. Heated it up and enjoyed it. Of course, you could start with hot water if desired.

FYI it needs to be hot to dissolve the salt well. I used Himalayan pink salt because I like it best.

*** You should check the amount of sodium in whatever salt you are using to insure that you are getting the proper amount of sodium. Some types of salt have different amounts of sodium in them.
