I took the Chile Lime Salmon and used it to make salmon patties like these from Half Bake-Harvest. You can certainly use canned salmon. Because the salmon was already seasoned, I just added the amount stated in the recipe for the chopped chipotle peppers. I like a lot of seasoning, but I thought it would be too much to add other spices. I subbed the panko breadcrumbs with pork panko, subbed the honey with Allulose honey, added the chopped cilantro and I had some chopped green onion and I threw that in! I also took sliced cabbage instead of lettuce, mixed it with the chipotle mayo, and made a spicy cole slaw that was so good on these burgers.
The Allulose honey was a nice addition to the sauce! YUM! Then, I added everything to a toasted Keto Bun. I thought this burger was very good. Served with avocado chips. 🐟🍔
Here’s the allulose honey I used. It doesn’t have a honey taste but adds a nice sweetness to the sauce. Regular allulose or stevia would work, too, I think. There is debate on whether allulose carbs should be counted because the body doesn’t metabolize them. Check with your coach!😊
