hot chocolate and Christmas cookies

This is just a little fun Christmas blog talk. I had my sweet next-door neighbors over for healthy hot chocolate and healthy Christmas cookies. They are the best neighbors in the whole wide world, so I wanted to do just a little something for them for Christmas.

Here, they are such a beautiful family with the most caring, generous, and loving spirits. They are such a blessing!

So I wanted to have mainly healthy options so I made the hot chocolate with almond milk. I usually just buy unsweetened almond milk and that works great for hot chocolate, but I couldn't find that at Walmart so I just bought the unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I poured about half the gallon into a medium saucepan turned the heat on low and added about three heaping tablespoons of a Stevia/Erythritol sweetener blend. Any low-carb sweetener will work though. Then I added about three heaping tablespoons of cocoa. Stirred that until everything was dissolved. Added a splash of heavy cream and a splash of vanilla. Heated it all to a nice hot temperature, poured it into the cup, and sprinkled just a few Christmas sprinkles on top. Shaved chocolate would be very good or even cinnamon would also work well. It tasted so good and my neighbors couldn't believe it was healthy!

I used the Sugarfree Whipped Heavy Cream from Walmart, which I like a lot. Recently, I have been using Reddi-Wip to save on calories and fat.

I served these delicious Choc Zero butter cookies with hot chocolate. They are so good, have good ingredients, and are three carbs apiece, which I don't think is bad at all for a cookie. There are also a lot of cookies in the can.

They were sold out on the company website, but Amazon still has them available.

Then just a couple of fun things for the kids. I got a couple of things off Temu.com for them. Temu had these gingerbread house pictures and all the cute candy stickers to put on them. Cute to display on their refrigerator for Christmas. I also got a very inexpensive inflatable reindeer antler ring toss game. Temu can save a lot of money, but you just have to be careful and look closely at the product description and product size measurements. Things typically look a lot larger online than they really are by the way the products are photographed. Also, the quality can be not so great. Read the reviews, and I've found them to be very accurate.

I bought a few stocking stuffers recently. I try not to buy a bunch of things because people don't usually want that much more stuff, and they certainly won't want it if it's poor quality. You can go crazy looking at everything, but it's kind of fun, and the prices are unbelievable! You can definitely find things that are better quality, but you have to look carefully at the photos and description information. All orders are free shipping and free returns!

Here are the gingerbread houses and reindeer ears! Just put the product names in the search box to find them.

My neighbor wasn't exactly thrilled when I sent the reindeer ears home with them! Ha! He had to wear the ears for a long time while the kids were tossing the rings at him over and over. I just looked at him and said, "You're welcome!"😂

And for my neighbors' small gift, I got them a personalized Christmas ornament by Orinda's Originals. They are just the cutest things and everyone always loves them, I give them every year, particularly because you can choose the family cats, dogs, and even bunny rabbits! You can even pick out a similar look and coloring to your pet! Oh, and they also have ornament faces with different skin tones to choose from. These ornaments are just very extra special and the owner of the company does the amazing personalization!

Here's where to buy these adorable ornaments.

Awwww can you see the pets? My son's nickname in high school football was Moose, so every year he gets a moose ornament! That's it on the top left, and my neighbor's ornament on the bottom right. I think there is still time to get these great ornaments before Christmas! They have free shipping on orders of $50 or more!

That's it for now. I hope you can sip some hot chocolate!

Merry Christmas đŸŽ„đŸŽ…đŸŒ
