With the bad news that has come out about Erythritol, I thought I would try to make things a little better and write about my favorite sweetener, stevia! Stevia used to be my least favorite sweetener for so long and I think it was because I was using too much. You have to be very careful with it or it will taste bitter and be just awful! 😝
I do like the way it tastes, now that I’ve mastered the quantity to use, but what impresses me the most is it’s a natural sweetener that’s almost zero carbs! How great is that? 🎉
I use it in two forms: liquid and powdered. I’ve gone my whole life not drinking coffee, but I discovered iced coffee last year, and now I’m obsessed. It just is such a treat for me. I‘ve tried some different flavored liquid stevias but my favorites are by Sweet Leaf. I love the English Toffee and the Vanilla Creme and I have looked EVERYWHERE trying to find it less expensive too, but haven’t been able to find it for less than $17.94 for two bottles on Amazon. It looks like two bottles last me a month so I suppose that’s not so bad. I’m not going on luxurious cruises like Fred, I just spend my money on stevia! 🙄
Another thing to watch out for with stevia is the addition of other sweeteners or ingredients. You want 100% pure stevia, preferably organic.
Here are the links for the two flavors that I like. ☕️

Vanilla Creme Sweet Drops
I‘ve tried the Cinnamon but didn’t care for it. I will also get a plain Stevia made by Splenda. There are lots of things that the flavors don’t work in.
The other form of stevia I use is a powdered version. I like to use this in baking the most, but will use it for other things. I will use plain liquid stevia just to make a refreshing glass of lemonade with the juice of a lemon, but I’ll use this powdered stevia in it also. 🍋
So don’t despair about the Erythritol! Use some stevia instead! 👍🏼
