It’s a Virta Keto 4th of July 🎇🇺🇸

Shared by DeniseM

I saw a recent episode of The Kitchen that had some great ideas for a 4th of July party with yummy food ideas that were already keto or could easily be made keto! It was a miracle! Ha! I have not made any of these foods, but I think the recipes look fantastic. Most of the food was grilled so fire up the girl! I think all of these recipes will be something non-keto guests will like too! These are just some ideas I saw that I thought would be good way to have a fun party, have great food everyone will love, and still stay on track! 🎉🎉🎉

A great cheese board to have fo your party is this Flag board Katie made! So cute. Use any cheese slices you like for the flag’s white stripes, pepperoni slices for the red stripes, cut out cheese star shapes for the stars, and Katie used a bed of blue chips in the left corner. You can still do that or use blueberres! 🇺🇸

Do you know the famous Bloomin’ Onion from Outback Steakhouse that’s all fried and breaded and has eight jillion calories? Well this is a tasty grilled version that’s keto and much healthier. Also a yummy dipping sauce. Here’s the printed version and a YouTube video of Katie’s Grilled Firework Onion that shows exactly how to make it! 🧅

Here’s the printed recipe.

These Reuben Style Brats looked SO good! I think there is definitely a way to do them keto. Use low carb beer instead of the hard apple cider for the ”brat tub.” 😃 Sub Sugarfree ketchup for regular ketchup and use watered down or straight heavy cream. To thicken the sauce any low carb thickener like Xanthan Gum will work. Since this is a party and special occasion I would just buy some keto hot dog buns. Keto bread is listed as acceptable, with coach approval and depending on your stage with Virta. So just try to find the lowest carb buns possible. You also could do these lettuce wrapped! 🌭

I thought this was an interesting recipe! Grilled Steak Supreme! Basically all the flavors and toppings on a pizza, but on top of grilled steak! Doesn’t it look so good? 🥩🍕

This recipe really caught my eye too! Grilled Chicken Thighs with Blackberry BBQ Sauce! YUM! Just sub with low carb beer and low carb brown sugar of choice!

I actually have made some keto popsicles, but these were so cute red, white, and blue ones. You could do them in a popsicle mold. The one on the show was a rocket shaped one! So cute, but you could just use a Dixie paper cup and insert a popsicle stick. I think Crystal Lite, or any other Sugarfree drinks you can think of, have some flavors that would work and the right colors. The lemonade flavor would be the closest to white, but might be a little yellow. I think I would make my own lemonade with fresh lemon juice and stevia. It really isn’t yellow. You could also use the homemade lemonade and add the red and blue food coloring to it. Just make sure you freeze between layers! 😊

And the final party and dessert idea! A Strawberry Shortcake Bar! i thought this was so festive and CAN be done keto! I’ve made strawberry shortcake a couple of ways. I’ve made a Strawberry Shortcake Chaffle

Strawberry Shortcake Pie. Super delicious. 🍰

And you can use a Keto biscuit recipe, use sliced strawberries in low carb sweetener, and whipped cream with low carb sweetener of choice. Here’s a good biscuit recipe.

Aren‘t the decorations cute for this Shortcake Bar? I loved the three large glasses of red, white, and blue whipped cream! So definitely have some of that!🍓

Hope all these ideas help and you have a very happy and healthy 4th of July!🇺🇸
