I don’t usually marinate steaks, but sometimes I do. I’m usually in a rush and don’t take the time! But recently, I thought I would! This is basically my go-to marinade. It’s called The Best Steak Marinade in Existence! That’s a very lofty recipe title! This truly is a really great marinade. Marinating a steak before cooking helps tenderize the meat and also adds additional flavor. A good marinade can make a tremendous difference! I had some fresh herbs that I needed to use, so I thought I would change the original marinade up a bit and add the fresh herbs!
I think it turned out great, and here is how I did it. I also cut back a little on the lemon juice. Lemon juice helps tenderize, but I was using rib-eye steaks, which are already very tender, so I cut back a little on the acid. I also added another seasoning.
I love this McCormick Himalayan Pink Salt with Black Pepper and Garlic All Purpose Seasoning from Walmart. I also sprinkled a little on the steaks before pouring on the marinade.

After boiling and reducing the marinade, you can keep the excess in the fridge in a Mason jar to use on other meats.
