Donât you know when you see the word âloadedâ in a recipe itâs going to be extra good! Well, this recipe certainly is that. It takes the standard keto sausage gravy to the next level! I really loved it and loaded it even more with some chopped mini sweet peppers I added. Always good to add a little more veggies! They also add some nice color and I love that. I served the gravy over a toasted keto bagel, but a chaffle would be very good, or a toasted cauliflower sandwich thin would be great too! Youâve got to try this delicious gravy! đ
Well, I somehow misplaced the original recipe, but have no fearâI remember how I made this delicious loaded gravy!
All these ingredients are estimated and you can make it your own by using whatever quantity you like!
Loaded Sausage Jalapeno Gravy
I started by frying slices of bacon, then removed from the pan
Then I added 1/2 finely chopped onion to the pan with the bacon grease
Cooked the onion for a few minutes then added one chopped jalapeĂąo
Next, add about 1/2 cup each red and yellow mini sweet peppers or bell pepper
I then added a small roll of hot breakfast sausage and cooked until done
Drain the excess grease.
I probably added about 2 cups of heavy cream, thinned with about 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk.
Add bacon that has been chopped back to the pan
Season with seasoning salt and pepper
Cook on low to medium heat until gravy thickens
Pour over whatever type of keto bread or biscuits you like.
