Siete Keto Products Review🌼

Shared by DeniseM

I have been wanting to try more of the Siete products for a long time. I love how these products are more healthy and I learned why creating this post! See the amazing story below. But I was just a little hesitant because some of the products were a bit higher in carbs. I tend to like more of very, very low carb products than have just a very small amount of a higher carb product. It’s not that the higher carb product isn’t good, but I question my ability to only have a small amount!😳 I remember checking out the nacho tortilla chips, several months ago, I was SOOO excited to see them because before I started a keto diet, Nacho Doritos were at the top of my list!

I checked out the Siete Nacho Tortilla chips and even though they are made with really great ingredients, they are 1 carb per chip! Knowing myself, as well as I do when it comes to chips, I would probably eat half a bag!

Not all the Siete products are that carby though, and they don’t claim to make keto products. It’s just that I feel some of them could definitely work so I threw caution into the wind and revved up my ability to control myself and decided to try the Siete products after seeing a Virta Health Coach using them in a recipe. That was endorsement enough right there for me! I just needed to be careful with what I chose and the quantity. That’s one of the main things we have to do being on a keto diet!

I’ll describe below the products I chose, but first here is the story of Siete Foods. I love this company because it’s a family-run business committed to providing high quality products that are not only tasty but healthy! Don’t you wish there were more companies like this?

Here’s their story and a short video that talks about how the Garza family started Siete Foods. (Don’t they look like such a wonderful family?)

The Siete Foods family story is very similar to our own health story in that we have decided to follow a keto/low carb diet to improve our health the Garza had different health needs and decided to do something about it and make quality food products. On this video, Veronica Garza talks about her own health journey and how and why Siete Foods was founded. She says in the video, “To achieve anything you have to put in the work, you have to keep at it, until one day you succeed.” Certainly a motto to live by when following a keto diet or anything! Here is the video with her very inspiring and passionate story!

I had tried the Siete red and green salsas several times before. I like that they use very clean good ingredients and aren’t made with chemicals. They also are very good! Here’s the scoop on the salsas and I’ve talked about them before in recipes here on virtaworks.com

There are a wide variety of salsas. I’ve only tried the red and green because that’s all that Walmart carries. But you can purchase the complete line of Siete Foods products at

Lots of recipes on their website also!

This photo show all the different salsas to choose from.

I loved both the red and green salsas. I used to buy On The Border salsa, but it does contain some sugar. You don’t have to worry about that with either the red or green salsas. The Salsa Soleada is a little higher carb at 4 grams for 2 tablespoons because it has some dates. So probably best to stick with the mild or spicy Salsa Roja and the Salsa Cremosa.

Both the Red Enchilada sauce and the Green Enchilada sauce are very, very good and make such an easy way to make keto enchiladas. Just fill tortillas with the filling of your choice and pour the enchilada sauce on and then top with cheese. I like to do a breakfast enchilada with eggs and bacon filling then pour the red sauce on top (I think the green would be good too!) and then sprinkle on some Fiesta blend cheese. Such a great breakfast. The green enchilada sauce is excellent with a chicken filling.

I’ve been using the Siete Foods Taco Seasonings for some time now also. The two flavors, mild and spicy, really do make great tacos, but I usually buy the spicy. So many of the other taco seasonings on the market have maltodextrin, which can raise blood sugar, and other chemicals or wheat flour. But the Siete taco seasonings don’t. Siete does offer a few other seasonings, but some contain Maltodextrin, Tapioca Syrup, and dates whici probably wouldn’t make that much difference, but that’s certainly up to you which seasonings you choose. You can’t go wrong though with the mild or spicy.

Here are all the Siete seasonings and the nutrition on the mild and spicy taco seasonings.

Now my favorite thing! The tortillas! Being from Texas, tortillas are VERY important to me! I’ve made so many tortillas myself with some of them being very successful, but I just would really like to have a good tortilla option I didn’t have to make! Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so! 😊

Well Siete has come to my rescue with their great tortillas that are made with almond flour. I do like these tortillas a lot. Ten carbs is the only thing which is pretty typical for a manufactured tortilla. That amount of carbs basically limits me to one tortilla, but if it’s my only meal I might have two. So this is definitely something to consider when choosing a tortilla is whether just one will be enough if the carb count is a bit higher?

So many things can be made with these tortillas, they even would make a good base for a mini pizza!

Here’s the nutrition on these delicious tortillas.

This is for 2 tortillas!

There are three other flavors of tortillas that are relatively keto friendly I think, but based on the flous that are used, cassava and chickpea, they are 2 carbs more per tortilla. So the lowest carb option is with the almond flour tortillas.

This next Siete product I tried was very exciting for me because I haven’t had crunchy taco shells in YEARS! So I had to try them and I’m really glad I did. I thought they were great and so crunchy and only 7.5 carbs per shell. We constantly search for “crunch” on keto! It might take a little macro maneuvering if you decide to have two tacos like I did. (See below) But it was my only meal so I think it’s doable with planning.

For my delicious Siete meal I started out by making the taco meat filling. I sautéed a chopped onion, a couple of finely chopped jalapeños and I had half a zuchinni and about 5 grape tomatoes I just put in the pan too. Sautéed all of that in some butter.

Then I added in 3 pounds of ground chuck and sautéed until done

Next I added the taco seasoning. I used the mild flavor because I had guests that don’t like spicy. I did use the jalapeños but if you remove the ribs and seeds they just infuse flavor mainly. I also added a couple of large spoonfuls of tomato paste.

I served the filling in warmed taco shells and added shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Oh my heavens these turned out SO good! I also included Mexican cauliflower rice, cucumber slices with Tajin seasoning, and mini sweet peppers with a jalapeño popper dip. What a great dinner. I did push my 30 carbs to the max though so remember to pre-plan!

All I can say about the Siete Foods products I tried was impressive! I admire the devotion and commitment to health that the Garza family has. Siete Foods offers several products that can be adapted to a ketogenic lifestyle, though it's essential to select wisely based on your personal carb limits. Their almond flour tortillas, while made from wholesome, grain-free ingredients, contain a moderate amount of carbohydrates, so this makes them more suitable for perhaps a more occasional thing than something you would have every day. However, Siete's dedication to using clean, natural ingredients and their commitment to many dietary needs makes their products a valuable addition to many health-conscious diets, not just for those on keto. However, by carefully integrating these items into your meal planning, you can still maintain your keto goals.

Wishing you good health and happiness,
